Impressions from the Trucker & Country Festival in Geiselwind

TRUCKER & COUNTRY FESTIVAL from 22 – 25 May 2015 in Geiselwind

Impressions.

The motto of the trucker festival was:  "Future mobility – Vehicle highlights – Day of the Open Truck".

It was a resounding success. Once again, tens of thousands of people flocked to Geiselwind for the cult trucker festival.

Our European counterparts also discovered the festival. There were visitors from Hungary, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, the Czech Republic, Poland, the United Kingdom, Austria, the Netherlands and many more.

The smell of barbecues, country flair, a model truck show, miles of diversity and, of course, over 600 show trucks and their drivers were at the heart of the festival, guaranteeing that the CULT festival was a magnet again this year.

Brand new and straight from the Fieber airbrush and paint shop, the Wolf family's Actros arrived at the festival from Eggolsheim. The design is particularly special as the colourful truck shows the Strohofer service station in Geiselwind with its event centre.

Other highlights:

  • Brilliant concerts – the finest country music. A brilliant start with Amarillo, Nighthawk and Gunter Gabriel.
  • Trophies awarded to the 50 best looking trucks – once again plenty of heart, sweat and tears were put into preparing the trucks to win one of the highly coveted trophies.
  • Children's area with truck ambassador and "blind spot" education.

The sides of the roads were lined with numerous spectators who didn't want to miss the chance of giving the drivers a fitting farewell as they left the festival. Waving, resounding horns and flashing lights and headlamps were all par for the course. Goosebumps, and not only for the Strohofer family who were standing in the thick of it and waving. A luminous convoy travelled along the A3 motorway.

More ShowTrucks coming to RoadStars soon.
