Wishes for the Truck Trophy finalists

Truck Trophy 2017

What workmates would like to pass on to the finalists.

In the qualifying rounds they were still competitors - now all the qualifying participants are on the edge of their seats for their country's finalists and wish them all the best for the grand finale in Sweden.

We asked all of the qualifying participants what they wish the finalists for the upcoming challenges. We have been given lots of tips and motivating words - as well as the odd challenge. Of course, we at RoadStars are looking forward to the finale and wish all six markets every success. We are eager to see how the teams perform when completing the tasks.

Belgium.

Which tips would you like to give your team so that they achieve their goals?

Jean-Francois Fievéz: Above all, stay cool. You don't go there because you want to win whatever the cost, but for the fun of it.

Wesley Moreels: Focus and concentration.

Please say a few motivating words for your team!

Jean-Francois Fievéz: You are the best and we support you wholeheartedly.

Wesley Moreels: Friendship, adventure, dedication and truckers first.

What do you wish the team?

Jean-Francois Fievéz: We'll keep our fingers crossed for you, but above all: have fun!

Wesley Moreels: Good luck and above all have a lot of fun.

David Dekeyser: A lot of success in Sweden, ending in the top 4 is ideal, but higher is even better. Make us proud!

Warum meint ihr, dass sie gewinnen werden?

Jean-Francois Fievéz: Because the Belgians are the best ...

Wesley Moreels: They will win thanks to their modesty and perseverance!

Germany.

Which tips would you like to give your team so that they achieve their goals?

Uwe Loeffler: Take a look at the tasks from previous years on video.Practise with your trucks, for example driving through certain widths and heights and manoeuvring etc.Arrange to meet the weekend before the event to agree on everything and to become a team. Eat healthily including lots of vitamins so that neither of you gets a cold before this unique event.

Please say a few motivating words for your team!

Uwe Loeffler: You two, Andreas and Alex, are the best; after all you prevailed over us eight colleagues in the qualifying round and we are not the worst truckers in the Federal Republic.

What do you wish the team?

Uwe Loeffler: I wish our team an unforgettable event. I wish you great moments with the colleagues from other countries, super conversations and experiences. I wish that the two of you come out on top and afterwards everyone celebrates together.

Why do you think they will win?

Uwe Loeffler: We take a very conscientious approach. We have two of the best lads at the starting line and one of them comes from Hesse. (Die Hesse kommeeee - "The Hessians are coming" in the local dialect)

Uwe Haller: Our team Germany will win, because we are all crossing our fingers and stand fully behind them. If they tackle the tasks as calmly and confidently as in Hamburg, nothing can go wrong. Besides, everyone's a winner already!
We wish you exciting competitions and a lot of fun!

Netherlands.

Klaas Greving: I would like to wish Pascal and Lodewijk lots of luck and all the wisdom of the world. They shouldn't just concentrate on winning, but on enjoying the trophy of their lives. Then success will come of its own accord; because they're putting enough passion into it!

Roel Verduijn: Enjoy every moment and if everything is as well organised as our weekend was (Dutch final in November 2016), then it will be great. In reply to the question of why they will win, I've only got the following answer again: because Dutch drivers are simply the best. And I also wish them every success. Enjoy it all because it's not something you get to do every day. Every success boys!

KeesJan Nieuwenhuis: I want to give them one piece of advice: give it your all right from the beginning. Each participant had to qualify beforehand. Don't take pity. Don't talk too much, just get on with it! They're sure to win. Because they managed to beat us and that's why they will prevail over the others. Men, just remember the super country that you are representing. There's a reason that you can find the Dutch at the top of almost every type of sport and profession. You belong to this group! And don't forget to enjoy the whole thing.

Martin Quist: Once again congratulations on winning the title at the great Truck Trophy. I am convinced that you will manage to bring home the cup presented at the international finale of the Truck Trophy, if you show the same passion and obsession that you showed at the Truck Trophy in the Netherlands. I wish you every success and lots of fun. Do your best!

Daniel Dassen: My advice to Pascal and Lodewijk: stay calm, concentrate on your task and support each other. I think you will win because: "The force is with you".

Sjaak Schreurs: Go into this adventure with an open mind. The expertise and skills to take on the competition are definitely there. I say: do your best and above all enjoy whatever happens. That way you'll win the title for the Dutch team along the way. I wish you every success. Keep us up to date. We're crossing our fingers for you!
