World's biggest construction fair: that was bauma 2019

bauma 2019

The smart powerhouse for the construction sector.

More than 620,000 visitors flocked to bauma this year. And there was plenty going on at the Mercedes-Benz Trucks stand, too: the Arocs, Actros and Atego thrilled the sector's pros with their innovations.

Hundreds of cranes rise into the sky above the Munich Trade Fair. From a long way off you can already tell that they think big at bauma.

Heavy-duty working machinery for the toughest applications is presented every three years here at the world's leading trade fair for the construction sector.

It goes without saying that Mercedes-Benz Trucks absolutely must be there – after all, the latest-generation Arocs has been ready for the off with its numerous innovations since the International Commercial Vehicle Show in the autumn.

500 tickets for the RoadStars.

To experience the new vehicles live, RoadStars Drivers were given the chance to register for one or two bauma tickets each. The ideal opportunity for true fans of powerful construction vehicles to bring themselves up to speed.

In focus: MirrorCam.

There is lots going on around the Mercedes-Benz Trucks on display both in Hall B4 and in the open-air grounds.

The visitors are closely examining the MirrorCam system on the construction-site allrounder, the Arocs, with a great deal of interest.

“The system really is very attractive, especially for tipper vehicle applications,” says Michael Herb, who runs a family business near Stuttgart and drives an Arocs on a daily basis himself – but up until now with the conventional outside mirrors.

“I'm definitely ordering the MirrorCam for the next truck,” the Swabian is certain.

The Multimedia Cockpit is another crowd-puller. RoadStars Driver Manfred Wandl is also curious about the restyled cockpit concept, which he was able to put to the test even before the start of series production as part of a special RoadStars offer.

“I admit to being somewhat sceptical at first, but now I see how it's turned out, I have to say this was the right way to go,” says the man from Munich, who was one of the lucky winners in the RoadStars ticket draw.

Refreshments and a jovial atmosphere.

Anyone wanting to experience Mercedes-Benz Trucks at bauma heads to Hall B4. This has become a tradition at the biggest construction show in the world. Another tradition is the get-together to round off the show at the RoadStarsInn.

This is where everyone talks shop over a beer and a pretzel or sausage meat roll. Whether they come from Poland, India or the Swabian hills – this is where the visitors gather and exchange views about the innovations on the Actros and Arocs.

bauma opens its doors again in three years' time. Don't miss out on any news about the construction vehicles from Mercedes-Benz Trucks between now and then – here at RoadStars!
