Truckfest

See our winning Truckfest trucks before they appear on our stand!

Meet the lucky drivers (and trucks) that won a place on the Mercedes-Benz Truckfest stand for the May Bank Holiday weekend.

Truckfest Peterborough is back and our lucky competition winners are all set for the weekend. Selected by Bob Beech, trucker and journalist, all of our winners and their trucks will be appearing as VIPs on the Mercedes-Benz stand throughout the weekend. Meet them and their trucks below.

John Howells

Used mostly on landfill sites, John’s truck will be taking pride of place representing haulage company Tony M Rees.

Tom Barbour

Tom drove only another manufacturer's trucks before he sat in his Mercedes-Benz. “I’ve been completely converted,” he said. With a “fantastic” turbo clutch, his truck will be flying the flag for Donnell and Ellis Heavy Haulage Ltd.

James Harris

Warehouse distribution company Lenham Storage’s 70th Anniversary truck, a 2016 2551, will be brought to Truckfest by James Harris.

Josh Hughes

Another entry from Tony M Rees, this Mercedes Arocs 2548 Tag axle tractor unit is built for off-road, often used to transport waste to landfill.

Tony Mitchell

Tony said of his special Actros truck, “I was given this Actros from new and have enjoyed every minute in it. It’s a pleasure to drive and see people’s reaction to it.”

Colin Macdonald

Designed by Colin and Roger Dyson recovery systems, this Actros will be showing off all of its new features on our stand.

David Henning

This two year old 630 GigaSpace turned David into a Mercedes-Benz enthusiast.

“This truck really has impressed me power wise, fuel wise and most definitely cosmetically,” he said. “Beautiful truck all round.”

Dominic Newby

Having made an appearance at least year’s Truckfest Peterborough, Dominic and his truck will be returning to the festival in 2018.

Fred Bradshaw

This striking 2012 MP3 Actros will be showing off its fantastic livery on our stand this weekend.
