The new Actros is International Truck of the Year 2020

For the fifth time, the Mercedes-Benz flagship has again been voted “International Truck of the Year”! Jury members from 24 countries around Europe have taken a precise look at the truck: what ground-breaking technology is on-board the vehicle? Where will the driver find improvements? What’s the comfort like on-board? How does the truck tackle the challenges of daily life?

Now the votes have been counted: the new Actros is ahead of the rest. And it starts with the great possibilities which the new Multimedia Cockpit and multi-touch display offer. Improved vision thanks to MirrorCam and partially automated driving with Active Drive Assist. Or the optimised Predictive Powertrain Control which can now also assist on main roads.

Nine awards for the brand with the star.

More than 60 innovations can be found on-board the new Actros. And of course, that is also better for road safety: Active Brake Assist, for example, is now in its fifth generation and from 2020 it even comes as standard¹. Then there’s also Sideguard Assist which has been further enhanced in its latest version.

By the way: the decision by the jury of commercial vehicle journalists means that Mercedes-Benz is also at the top of podium in the overall rankings. No other manufacturer has won the accolade as often as the brand with the three-pointed star.
