Jens Strippelmann refuels the really big cargo planes with his Econic

Story

LH 8400 refuelled.

Always focused, but still cool: Jens refuels the biggest jets in the world.

Under the Boeing 777F. It can carry up to 103 tonnes of cargo and leaves the ground with a maximum of 347 tonnes take-off weight.

Jens keeps the bright yellow safety jacket on during the journey. He will have to go outside again soon anyway. On the airport apron, there is a cool easterly wind. He has his crucially important ear protection around his neck. His right finger moves towards the button for the hazard lights. Just 50 metres now between the fuel tanker and the parked up Boeing 777F of Lufthansa Cargo. “That's the next one on my list,” says Jens.
