Collector Joachim Fehrenkötter about his childhood sweetheart
Classic vehicle
A 7.5-tonne car transporter the same length as a semitrailer truck: it was custom-built in the 1970s. Thanks to Joachim Fehrenkötter's LP 813, this vehicle has been brought back to life.
This man owns around 180 heavy trucks, but he is particularly attached to one of them. Joachim Fehrenkötter, a freight haulier from the village of Ladbergen in northern Germany, has made a dream from his youth come true. He had an LP 813 converted to a platform truck. "My father invented this type of vehicle – and it was my first truck," says Fehrenkötter.
