The latest dates of truck events and information from the world of Mercedes-Benz Trucks along with an international online community that is attracting more and more drivers, company owners and other truck aficionados. Word quickly spread at the IAA on the success of RoadStars, the new interactive portal from Mercedes-Benz Trucks. "We are now being approached by more and more visitors asking us how they can register," says Alexander from the RoadStars trade fair team. "At first, we'd often have to explain what RoadStars is, but now most of the people who come up to us know all about it."

Apart from the Truck Forum in hall 14/15, the main contact point for visitors wanting to register is the RoadStars Show Truck. Those who have completed their registration can take part in exclusive members-only promotions or chat with other users in the community section.   Since the opening of the trade exhibition, many visitors have taken the opportunity to register at one of three internet locations inside the converted trailer. On Saturday, Alec "Boss Burns" Völkel and Sascha "Hoss Power" Vollmer from the German band The BossHoss came by to inform themselves about how to register at RoadStars.

However, the IAA is only the first stop for the RoadStars Show Truck. The driver of the Actros 1848 LS, André Warnke, will soon be embarking on a tour designed to throw the door wide open to users in other European countries interested in joining the interactive truck portal. Users can then register directly and create a profile, upload photos and post their comments and also link these up to other social media platforms. One thing is clear to André Warnke: this journey is just beginning. Not only for him and the RoadStars Show Truck but also for the countless users who have joined the new community of Mercedes-Benz Trucks.

Charming introduction to RoadStars.

Mobile, fast and well networked  – the RoadStars trade fair team invited IAA visitors to register and provided new users with tips and tricks on accessing the new interactive communication platform.

What made this highlight stand out at the 2014 IAA was not necessarily its engine performance, although it does pack quite a punch. No sooner had RoadStars, the interactive communication platform from Mercedes-Benz Trucks, been launched than users began rushing to access the site. "I've waited so long for a site where I can network with other drivers," said Markus, who registered to join the community at the IAA with the help of Franziska from the RoadStars team. "I hadn't heard of RoadStars before, but then Franziska arrived, armed with her tablet, and showed me how it worked," the driver added. He is delighted that his RoadStars registration also gives him access to Mercedes-Benz technology videos, brochures detailing vehicle data as well as free ring tones by the German band The BossHoss. "That would certainly be something for my boss!".

In hall 14/15 and at the RoadStars Show Truck on the outdoor exhibition area, Franziska, Ina, Alexander and Marcel provide initial assistance into the interactive world of Mercedes-Benz Trucks via RoadStars. They introduce those trade fair visitors who are unfamiliar with the portal to the new opportunities this truck community offers. Very often, they do not have to say a lot. "Quite a few already know RoadStars and are pleased that we're helping everyone with their registration. They are really keen to join so as to be able to network with other drivers or truck aficionados," says Franziska.

The Trucks Community is growing: the video wall in the Truck Forum displays profile pictures of the new RoadStars members.

To enable everyone who registers with the RoadStars team to immediately upload their profile picture, Franziska, Ina, Alexander and Marcel take photos of the new community members with their tablets -- against the impressive backdrop of the latest exhibition trucks belonging to Mercedes-Benz. Visitors can witness just how fast the RoadStars community at the IAA is growing on a large video monitor located at the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Forum.

The RoadStars team in hall 14/15 also explains the functions of the interactive communication platform to first-time users. How can I upload images into the photo album and where can I write comments? How can I chat with other users? Where do I find desktop wallpapers and technology films? How do I access the event calender and receive the latest information from the world of Mercedes-Benz Trucks? The four RoadStar assistants are only too happy to answer all of your questions.

Perfect introduction in the RoadStars Truck.

The gateway to the new interactive RoadStars platform from Mercedes-Benz Trucks opened up in a Mercedes-Benz Truck. Many visitors took the opportunity to register.

After climbing aboard the RoadStars Truck, visitors discovered even more in the shape of RoadStars fortune cookies.

The RoadStars Truck provided visitors and trade professionals at the 2014 IAA Commercial Vehicles trade exhibition with the perfect entry into the community of Mercedes-Benz Trucks. Very quickly, the first registrations were being recorded at the internet terminals located in the show trailer, which had been equipped according to the motto: climb aboard, find out and join in.

Even the team from the Mercedes-Benz TruckWorks booth located opposite took the opportunity during a short break to familiarise themselves with the new platform and its multimedia content. “I'm really impressed by the photography in the reportages and the articles in the magazine section, and I've thoroughly enjoyed clicking my way through the many videos, desktop wallpapers and The BossHoss ring tones in the multimedia section,” said Lisa from TruckWorks, fascinated by the online offer provided by RoadStars.

Under the watchful eyes of her colleagues, she took her first steps in the community section, where she was able to access specially activated functions like the chat with other RoadStars users, a photo album or a chance to participate in special promotions after registering. Perhaps Lisa's photo album will soon include the first images from the Mercedes-Benz TruckWorks model truck obstacle course.

Social media functions, technology videos and vehicle data.

The RoadStars Truck located on the grounds outside hall 14/15 will be open to visitors for the entire duration of the IAA. Drivers, company owners and truck fans are invited to register directly inside the truck. After the close of the IAA, the show truck will set out on a tour through Europe to introduce the RoadStars platform to other countries. Anyone unable to visit the IAA but still interested in completing their registration can do so from the comfort of their home by entering their details under the login button at the top of this page.

Apart from the latest information from the world of Mercedes-Benz Trucks, the RoadStars platform also offers reportages and series of photos, brochures and details on the vehicles as well as an extensive media section. This segment includes films on technology and video reports and enables users to download high-quality desktop wallpapers and ring tones from the German rock band The BossHoss. Registered users can bring their profile to life in the community section by adding their own photo album and sharing images with other users. They can also chat to other RoadStars friends via the social media functions.
