Awards ceremony for the 2017 Drivers' League.

Rewarding the best drivers and fleets at the DTM season finale.

Great weather not only greeted the thousands of motorsports fans at the DTM season finale but also the best of the 2017 Drivers' League. Drivers and fleet managers from all over the place made their way to the event where their impressive performance was to be celebrated. This year saw more than 25,000 drivers from more than 750 fleets in 20 different countries battling it out worldwide.

Even traffic wasn't going to stop them.

The awards ceremony started slightly later than planned as some guests arriving by car needed as many as four hours for the short journey from Stuttgart to Mannheim as a result of the traffic. The new Fleetboard Sales Manager Laurent Chambon led the festivities. The awards for the three best drivers and fleets in Germany and worldwide were handed over by Fleetboard Sales Representatives Matthias Kotte, Heiko Flender, Frank Kaub and Stefan Neubrand.

Driver training courses and anticipatory driving pay off.

Achse GmbH, Fleetboard customer and Drivers' League participant since the very beginning took three awards home with them. Ralf Tamm, driver at Gellert GmbH, took part for the first time and came in directly at 3rd place in the German driver ratings. In response to the question as to what his strategy was, he answered: "I just drove like I normally drive." He didn't even realise that he was delivering a great performance until he discovered he was among the top 3. Chinese fleet Tianyou went straight in at number one among the fleets thanks to continual and targeted training measures over the last few years.

A perfect weekend at the Hockenheim Ring.

The awards ceremony was followed directly by the evening programme of events from Mercedes-Benz AMG. As part of this, winners had the chance to chat with former Formula 1 racing driver David Coulthard. Rhythmic beats wound down the eventful evening. Among those on stage, the band "New City Beats" shared their usual good vibes with visitors.
