TRUCKFEST

Join us 6-7 May at Truckfest Peterborough.

On Sunday 6 May and bank holiday Monday 7 May, truckers and truck enthusiasts will once again get together for two days of entertainment, competition and celebration at Truckfest Peterborough, Europe’s largest trucking festival since 1983.

The family-friendly event, which has been running for over 35 years across the UK, drew 60,000 visitors to Peterborough last year, with 3,000 trucks on display. Visitors attending this year will once again be treated to James Dylan’s Stunt World, monster truck car crushing action and a giant exhibit hall featuring custom and vintage vehicles, in addition to numerous other attractions. Families can enjoy the family fun fair and meet with children’s character mascots from Paw Patrol, Trolls and Star Wars throughout the two days.

This year’s event will also include special guest appearances from television trucker stars Glen “Yogi” Kendall and Steve Grahame from the World from the Outback of Australia and fan favourite Ice Road Trucker Todd Dewey.

Be on the lookout for a special RoadStars contest in March for an opportunity to win a spot to show your vehicle at the festival, as well as receive festival tickets and accommodation, courtesy of Mercedes-Benz trucks.

Last year, Allan Holt’s Pollock Scotrans Actros won the competition's top prize for its “…combination of a top-of-the-range modern truck that represented the practical application of the latest technology combined with a classic Scottish livery,” according to Bob Beech, who judged the competition. Allan hopes to be back at the event this year as well with his new UK Limited Edition Actros1.

Looking back at last year, Allan said: “As with all Truckfest events, it was a brilliant weekend made especially more enjoyable by being invited onto the Mercedes-Benz stand. The hospitality from the Mercedes-Benz trucks team was second to none.”

Dominic and Tracy Newby and son Edward were the runners-up with their classic Mercedes-Benz truck. “I was really honoured to be recognised by fellow drivers and Mercedes-Benz fans in being voted Runner-Up for the Best Truck in the RoadStars competition 2017, particularly as Mercedes-Benz is such a prestigious brand.”

“My experience of Truckfest 2017 was wholly positive,” he continued. “The organisation of the event was second to none and Mercedes-Benz trucks were nothing but helpful all weekend. Their hospitality was an absolute bonus and the whole family was catered for in their marquee.”
