Actros Excalibur: the motorway knight

Vehicle & Technology

Mythical attraction.

Idea with power: the Actros 1858 LS Excalibur custom model embodies the combination of elegance and fine power par excellence.

Diamond white metallic paintwork, black high-end leather seats with grey stitching and a red coat of arms: these are the features of the second special production model by Mercedes-Benz dealer Beresa OWL from Bielefeld. "After the Black Star we wanted to create something very special again for the driver and the company," says Kai-Uwe Schelt, commercial vehicle sales manager for Beresa OWL.

This time it's a tribute to the movie classic "Excalibur" by John Boorman about the saga of mythical King Arthur's legendary sword. With 425 kW (578 horsepower) the semitrailer tractor unit is specially equipped for heavy loads and difficult topography.

The polished Dura-Bright alloy wheels – they are very light-weight and easy-care – round off Excalibur's chivalrous equipment. The result is an overall work of art fully in keeping with the proverb "Beauty is power; a smile is its sword".

Perfectly dramatised: the Actros Excalibur in front of the Hermann monument near Detmold, which was consecrated in 1875 in memory of the battle of the Germanic tribes against the Roman legions in the Teutoburg Forest.
