For Jürgen Breininger, it's a dream come true, albeit a small one

Story

RoadStars presents: Jürgen Breininger.

Actros driver Jürgen Breininger won the top prize in the RoadStars competition. His trophy: an Arocs 3245 dump truck from LEGO® Technic.

Jürgen Breininger doesn't actually spend a lot of time on the internet. During the day he drives his Actros 2540 for a drinks manufacturer, and in the evening, he goes for a run and then enjoys some time with his family. However, several times a week, he does log onto RoadStars, the interactive communication platform from Mercedes-Benz Trucks.

"Always on Fridays when the updates appear," says the 48-year-old, who lives with his wife and two sons in Burgbernheim in the Franconia region of Germany. For Breininger, who is a long-time reader of "Mercedes-Benz ROUTE", it's part of his job to be informed about the latest technical developments and the activities of other drivers. "Driving a truck isn't just a job for me. I'm passionate about the vehicles. It's been that way since I was a kid and it's still the same today."

The Franconian has already benefited from his passion. As part of the pre-Christmas competition on RoadStars, he took home the top prize. His trophy contained nearly 2800 individual parts: a LEGO® Technic Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245 dump truck.

"It's a little dream come true for me. Actually, I wanted to put it together myself but my son took charge of it straight away. I had no chance of getting near it."

One small consolation: during a Mercedes-Benz demo, he did get to sit behind the wheel of a real Arocs. "It was on a track normally reserved for motocross – it was a great experience."

His attention was drawn to RoadStars during his last visit to the plant in Wörth. "When I picked up my Actros." Since then, he visits the portal regularly and has become an active user.

By the way, the Arocs is in good company with the Breiningers: son Tobias already possesses a LEGO Unimog. Jürgen Breininger: "Maybe we'll be able to build up a small fleet together."
