FIA Truck Race in Jarama 2018

RoadStars at the 32nd GP Camión in Jarama, Spain.

The final Truck Race of the year – and also the final time to enjoy summer climes! With temperatures of 28 °C and in good spirits, the RoadStars team from Tankpool24 had the most dramatic weekend of the racing season. Despite that, the team can look back at a great season.

Best of.

Steep curves and a tough fight: the race track in Jarama is famous for its head-to-head races, having stayed true over the years to its somewhat rustic 1970s tight track layout. And Tankpool24 driver Norbert Kiss felt the full force of that on his own vehicle – on the first of the two race days, he got caught up in the most serious crash of the current season. The collision unfortunately cost our "Norbi" some valuable points and, in the end, a couple of places, which subsequently meant that the season which he'd started so well ended in a less attractive way than he had hoped.

And so it was all the more pleasing that Steffen Faas was able to take up second place in the Grammer Cup in this, his first year with the team. Congratulations to him! In all, the whole Tankpool24 team can look back on a fantastic performance. Fingers crossed that luck will be on their side next year.

Speaking of luck: the RoadStars show truck was swamped with visitors on the final Grand Prix weekend, many of whom were keen to give our wheel of fortune a spin – at time, the queue was even longer than 100 metres!

That's all from us for what was a spectacular European Truck Racing Championship season, but we're already looking forward to the coming year. And anyone who's already feeling withdrawal symptoms from our show truck: fear not! You'll surely see it around soon!

Until then, here's a video of our highlights from the sunny Gran Premio Camión de España 2018!

Truck Race team check: the Tankpool24 team takes a look back in time.

Our first RoadStars season with the Tankpool24 team has drawn to a close – and what a season it was!

Even if the final Truck Race weekend in Jarama started badly for Norbert Kiss and his team following a collision on the first day, everyone in the Tankpool24 Racing Team can be proud of themselves. New addition Steffen Faas took up 2nd place in the Grammer Cup and, thanks to a fantastic game of catch-up, Kiss still managed to secure 5th place in the overall rankings. Time for a look back at a racing season full of highs, lows and a whole lot of team spirit!
