Siberia, Russia.

Extreme climate, endless horizons and challenging terrain: this is Siberia. A region where temperatures soar to around 40 degrees Celsius in the summer and plummet to a glacial minus 55 degrees in the winter. And where the landscape is covered in snow for almost three quarters of the year. But no matter which season it is, the tried-and-tested Actros is a reliable worker, even in the most remote forests and marshlands.

Covering an area of around 2.5 million square kilometres, the West Siberian Plain is around seven times the size of the Federal Republic of Germany. Its landscape is characterised by vast coniferous forests which give way to barren tundra in the north. A major base for the oil industry in West Siberia is the settlement of Fedorovsky, 50 kilometres north of the town of Surgut. It was founded in the 1960s as a small settlement for oil workers. Today, it's home to around 20,000 people.
