Street Art: Roberto Carlos Treviño Rodriguez paints an Actros at a ferry terminal

RoadStars meets Street Art

An Actros at a ferry terminal.

A big door – and a lot behind it! Roberto Rodriguez uses a Baltic ferry as a stage for his star.

The task:

Every day many trucks cross from Lithuania's Klaipėda to Kiel on the ferry. This saves fuel and driving time. 37 year-old artist Roberto Carlos Treviño Rodriguez has portrayed the moment when the bow door opens and a fully-loaded Actros tractor combination leaves the ship.

"I come from Guadalupe in Mexico, but I have been living in Germany for some time now. Travelling is one of the nicest aspects of my job. Besides Germany, I have also created works of art in the Netherlands, Austria, Italy, France, Belgium, Bulgaria, Latvia, Switzerland, the USA and Mexico. I started creating anamorphic paintings about four years ago."

"I improve my techniques by working together with other artists at festivals. I often paint on canvas with an airbrush. However, when I am working on the floor, I combine various painting techniques for better results. “
