Mercedes-Benz Trucks 2020 “Great landscapes” calendar: the July motif

2020 “Great landscapes” calendar

Turda Gorge, Romania: Actros 1845 LS.

A steep gorge and flat summit – the Actros in the western Carpathians.

The Turda Gorge is a product of water. A stream cut its way ever deeper into the limestone of the Trascău Mountains, forming the gorge. The walls of the gorge reach 300 metres up on either side of a small path in the wonderful natural landscape in Ardeal – better known as Transylvania. A playground for a handful of mountaineers and home to more than 1,000 partly alpine species of plants.

Since the 1930s, the conservation area has steadily grown, as has the neighbouring city of Turda. During the Roman Empire, salt was mined here. Today, Turda is an important site of the Romanian chemical industry, and its raw materials and products that have to be transported. Good thing the Actros is coming.

Mercedes‑Benz Trucks Calendar 2020 – “Great Landscapes”.

Magnificent vistas of nature. Powerful lorries. On the road in the truck, with the windshield doubling as the silver screen. Unique landscapes are the side scenes, whether along country roads, motorways or somewhere else – far, far away. The main actor is the truck. It does its job with distinction. Its performance keeps everything running; it connects our lives. From Finland to Chile, from Portugal to Australia. Hence, the motto of the Mercedes‑Benz Trucks Calendar 2020 is “Great Landscapes”.

You can see all the motifs to date at a glance on our overview page.
